Piecing together…

Line of D. O.  sandwiched btween 2 lines of The Waxing Oracle.

The write up for the D. O has been 95% complete for the last few weeks… In theory, it should have been no more than a couple, of hours work left but for some reason although thoughts gathered and came together, they refused to roll to page…

Something is missing… What am I missing… Something to do with the structure… Getting the foundations correctly placed? Foundations? Foundations? What are the foundations? Those words have looped and looped…

I try to distract myself and think forward to the other upcoming project that myself and C are hatching… I wasn’t intending to start work on that until after I’d nailed the D. O. but thunder brought a change of plans and whilst I’m still trying to solve my D. O. riddle, funnily enough the next project has a nifty skeleton already in place. There’s a very clear chart of how we want to map things. Today I was considering the colours I’d use and why I would choose them…

My mind wandered off and it occurred to me that I’d never laid out the D. O. and The Waxing Oracle together… I soon remedied that… I was surprised, though with more thought, I really should not have been. For a moment I was surprised at how they looked like they belonged together. My mind cast forward and I started to get a sense of what the next project will look like…

Then I realised, though I already knew, I’d not fully felt the measure of it. I’m not looking at 3 seperate projects. Even though 3 decks will be eventually released, it’s all one big thing. 3 parts of  1 thing…

The upcoming project is the original idea we started with… The other 2 were part of the education required to execute the first idea in a manner befitting…

Hmmm… In my head, I heard C’s voice – It’s very Nornish…

In my head, I agreed with her…

In my head, the Norns gathered and said shhhhh you’ve said enough… Back to work.

  1. Yes, that is fascinating. I sat with these pictures for a long time not knowing if they hung together as a deck. Every so often I would show a stranger and they would either say something similar or zoom in on one image and spontaneously tell me a personal story. It happened enough that I felt I had to finish the deck and put it somewhere where people could find it… 😊

    1. I wrote this yesterday… After conversation with C this morning, we realised that our next project has two very natural follow on projects. I’d best pick up the pace or I’m not sure I’m going to live long enough to finish them… 🤣
